Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

My approach to hip and knee replacement

Unlike most medical problems, arthritis makes good ol' common sense.  You do not have to be a doctor to understand it.  Arthritis results from wearing away the cartilage that protects the ends of the bones where they articulate.  The solution to this problem is simple.... the lost cartilage is replaced.... with metal and plastic.  I will show you how to read your x-rays (it's not that hard).  The surgery will be explained so it makes sense.  The more you know the less scary it will be.
